Version 26.1 introduces a configurable team dashboard, new portfolio utilization and milestones views, and improves support for process gates.

Graz, Austria — July 16, 2026. Planforge today announced version 26.1 of its enterprise project work management platform. The new release features major enhancements to Planforge's resource management and portfolio reporting capabilities, providing a new level of insight for project and team managers alike.

Resource Management Enhancements

Planforge has always been known for its strong integrated resource management. The new version further improves on this key strength across several areas:

• New team dashboard — brings team KPIs, top team members, team capacity, and utilization together in a configurable dashboard
• Customers as teams — allows customers and their contact persons to be assigned directly to activities and to-dos, just like any other resource
• Skills as teams — supports skill-based assignments in project plans, as skills are now treated as resource objects

Planforge now manages customers and skills as first-class resource objects. This simplifies administration, increases planning flexibility, and enables new resource management scenarios that were previously not possible.

New Portfolio Reporting Views

Portfolio reporting is tightly linked with multi-project management in Planforge, enabling real-time aggregation of project data. Two new portfolio views provide even more insight into resource utilization and milestone dates:

• Utilization view — displays live portfolio utilization based on project team workloads
• Milestones view — provides a consolidated overview of all milestones within a portfolio

Both views are available through the new "View Type" selector on the portfolio Dates overview.

Gate Management Improvements

Planforge only recently introduced support for product maturity tracking through process gates with the Gate Management Option (GMO). Version 26.1 improves on that foundation and integrates customer feedback from real-world usage:

• Improved controlling view — displays the current and previous review attempt right away
• New gate review history — provides a tabular overview of all gate review attempts at project level
• Built-in KPIs — deliver ready-to-use efficiency KPIs such as Gate Approval Rate for real-time reporting
