Agile Team

An agile team consists of 5-11 people who define, develop, test, and deliver an Increment in a given Iteration (1-4 weeks). Setting up an agile team structure creates a framework for managing the elements of an agile project. Agile Teams work in a self-organized and largely autonomous manner.

An agile team works with agile methods such as Scrum, Kanban, or extreme programming (XP). In SAFe®, multiple agile teams form an Agile Release Train.

Teams can go through different phases before they develop. The four critical phases in the development of agile teams are:

  • Forming
  • Storming
  • Norming
  • Performing

Reaching the last stage, teams can finally use their full potential.

Manage agile teams and ARTs in enterprise agile planning software.

Scrum

Scrum is an agile project management method, which is mainly used in software development. Scrum consists of a few rules that describe the so-called Core. The basic idea is that a project is not planned from start to finish, but development is iterative with short feedback loops, the so-called Sprints.
